Charters to catch Tarpon are
available in the months of April-Sept. There are two types:
Traditional Pass Fishing in World Famous Boca Grande Pass aboard
a 24' inboard Morgan, The Blaze, with room up to 6 passengers.
The Blaze is docked at the Historic Whidden's Marina, located on
first street, downtown Boca Grande. Allow 15 minutes travel time to the
Pass to fish for Tarpon.
Beach/Harbor Tarpon fishing is
done in a 20' Lake and Bay Flats Boat. This is for clients who
want to travel the beaches, Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island
Sound, in search of Tarpon using light tackle, 30lb. spinning
gear. These charters allow for 3 passengers or less.

Snook/Redfish/Trout
Fishing

Backcounty/Flats/Shallow Water
fishing is available all year long, and done out of a 20' Lake
and Bay Flats Boat. Snook season is open: March-April,
Septemeber-November. During this time you can keep Snook in the
slot limit between: 28 inches-33 inches, one per angler. Redfish
are open all year long with a slot limit for keepers of: 18
inches-27 inches. One keeper per angler. Trout are open:
January-October, with a slot limit of: 15 inches-20 inches, with
a limit of four per angler, with one allowed to be over 20
inches.

Permit/Kingfish/Pompano/Spanish
Mackeral
|
Permit fishing is generally great in
the months of July and August when the weather is really hot.
Kingfish are fished for in late March-April and then again
September-November. Pompano are generally fished for in the
months of March-April as well. Spanish Mackeral are typically
available year round with the optimal times being Spring thru
Fall.
